Where Do Broken Hearts Go?
Headlines read: Whitney Houston dies at 48. This one time pop queen was in a Beverly Hills hotel room. Cause of death is unclear.
It is amazing how fast the news of Whitney Houston's death swept the world. Before I fell asleep, I received a text message from a friend in Canada and, as soon as, I woke up, even my Dad was ready to tell me the news.
"The biggest devil is me. I'm either my best friend or my worst enemy," Ms. Houston told ABC's Diane Sawyer in an infamous 2002 interview.
Ten years later, the cause of her death was never unclear to me. As soon as I heard the news, I knew in my heart that Whitney died of a broken and sad heart. It is easy to look at the surface and blame drugs. Drugs are not the cause of death. Even when an autopsy is performed, it will not read that she died of drugs, but perhaps of heart failure or something else related to the physical body.
This is a great opportunity to reflect on your own life, meaning, fulfillment, hopes and dreams. Does happiness comes with a price? Do you suffer a broken or sad heart?
Heart failure occurs when you start to see yourself as separate, you are no longer connected. You are not open to receiving the infinite love and wisdom intended and available to you. You cannot give what you do not have.
The story of Whitney Houston is sad, but not unique. It is happening everyday around the world. Whenever you look outside of yourself for happiness and fulfillment, ultimately it will lead to torment and broken heartedness. Drugs are not the cause, but really the effect. If you want to heal the world, heal hearts. Start now. Even a warm smile can offer hope to the seemingly hopeless. Never assume that because someone appears to have money that they are happy or because they have none that they are not.
True and lasting fulfillment is a result of healing your own heart. Find love and appreciation of yourself exactly as you are. Perfect. The biggest devil is you and so is the biggest angel. Instead of looking outside of yourself for fame, fortune, platinum albums, love and appreciation, just look inside of you and you will find solid gold. You don't need the emblem of Superman on your chest, but rather the emblem of Superstar on your heart.
Where do broken hearts go?
Can they find their way home?
Back to the open arms of a love that's waiting there
And if somebody loves you
Won't they always love you?
Next time you feel like you are suffering a broken heart. Realize that you are only feeling the same feelings everyone else is feeling or has felt. Broken hearts die alone. Broken open hearts connect and unify immortally.
God Bless you Whitney. Thank you for your efforts to change the world and reunify the races back to one heart. May you Rest in Peace, while we learn to Live in Peace.
Being Happy Healthy and Fit means turning your broken heart into a heart of gold. May your pain no longer isolate you, but unify you. May you realize that you are Superstar! Together we can create a golden globe!
