Reset Your Happiness GPS!

Sadly, most people think that happiness is outside of them. Perhaps, it is unattainable or something reserved for those with less responsibility, more money or living on the next street.

It is amazing how easy it is to fall into this thinking pattern, commonly referred to as victim consciousness. The good news is that Happiness is a state of mind, thereby abundantly available to be enjoyed by all immediately.

Start by acknowledging today what area of your life is blocking you from reaching your greatest potential. Be honest with yourself and stay in the present. Is it your career, relationship, health, body image, choice of friends, customers, clients, boss or neighbor? Really take a moment and zoom in on the triggers that send your attitude spiraling from the hero to zero.

Once your trigger is identified, begin the work to change it. Everything is possible. Perhaps, the first change needs to be your attitude. It doesn’t matter where you are beginning. Whether you want to lose 200lbs, start your own business, make more money, have more freedom, leave an abusive relationship or have a better relationship with your children. Begin where you are, but know where you are. Establish a beginning; Point A.

When your goal seems too lofty or you lose sight of it, practice tapping into the great minds and hearts of those you admire. Find an explorer who discovered vast new worlds or an inventor who changed the world. They all began with a seemingly impossible goal, more doubters than supporters, yet a Huge inner desire and belief to get from point A to point B.

Like Jim Collins said, if good is good enough, you will never be great. Set your GPS on GREATNESS and remember even the most luxurious boats and planes need constant attention and monitoring to ensure they safely arrive at their destinations.

Today, give yourself a second chance and get back on track with the resolution you set just one month ago. Don’t wait another year to create the best life ever. Break the chains that hold you back. Leave doubt and doubters in the past. Adjust your GPS attitude away from ‘I can’t’ and align with ‘I can!’ Exercise your birthright. Be Happy!
