Good Luck and Good Fortune
"What the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve."
- Napoleon Hill
Beliefs are nothing but thoughts and ideas that we think are true.
A few weeks ago, I was reminded of the powers we all possess inside our thought patterns. While attending the Scottsdale Art Festival, I was immediately drawn to the booth of Seung Lee Studio. His woodblock ink was so clean and balanced that when looking at his work, I experienced complete harmony.
His artistic statement reads: My work is significantly influenced by the poles of the ying and yang, the Asian positive and negative, and the interaction between humans and nature.
As a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Kung Fu, I have been studying these concepts for years. I wanted to take this art work home. The timing was off. I knew I would be closing my business and his work was pricey. I walked around the show in search of something more affordable and the ultimately returned to his booth. I felt I must have something. It was going to be a life changing purchase.
When I zoned in on the one piece I liked, Seung Lee proceeded to tell me a story about how the two pieces went together in harmony. Good luck and Good Fortune. At this point in my life, I was not prepared to pay for one and now I knew I must have both. For Good Luck, without Good Fortune, wouldn't be enough and Good Fortune without Good Luck, may not be desirable.
Seung Lee, a deep soul, continued to tell me a story about the power of the mind and some miracles he created in his own life. I knew I needed to have these and with Good Luck and Good Fortune the money would come.
I charged the paintings, brought them home and hung them in my office. I smiled and felt fulfilled. Two weeks later, an unexpected check arrived in the mail. It was the exact amount to pay for both paintings.
Good Luck and Good Fortune are yours as soon as you Believe! I believe! I believe! I believe!
